Sumner Regional Medical Center
Sumner Regional Medical Center Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin (pictured above) is the core of Sumner Regional Health Systems. This year, SRMC celebrates its 47th year of service to the community. Born in 1959 as Sumner County Memorial Hospital, the facility has grown exponentially over the past 47 years. In its first year, there were only 50 employees and seven physicians on staff; in 2006, those numbers had grown to more than 1,000 and 150 respectively. The intervening years have brought numerous changes and upgrades to the healthcare system: the first freestanding MRI center in Sumner County, a Home Health program, a Pain Center, a Diabetes Center, a Hospice and much more. Last year Sumner Regional Medical Center treated over 25,000 people in our state-of-the-art Emergency Department and world-class Cardiac Care Unit, we delivered 756 babies, and we performed over 3,500 same-day surgeries in our caring and comfortable facilities. Conveniently located adjacent to our hospital is the Sumner Medical Plaza. This facility houses doctor's offices and imaging facilities. The location of Sumner Medical Plaza allows doctors to share all of the facilities of SRMC in order to provide their patients with the best care possible. So, whether you are looking for a new family doctor, a place to have your new baby, a place to care for your heart, a place to treat an injury, or any other health issue, we hope you will think of Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.
