Established in 1919

The first organizational meeting of  “Red Boiling Springs Bank” was held in March of 1919 at the Palace Hotel in Red Boiling Springs, and the bank was open for business on July 1, 1919 with 56 stockholders and $12,500 in capital. In the early 1960’s, the bank was re-chartered as Macon Bank & Trust Company. A new branch was constructed in Lafayette in 1965; and then a new, modern main office was constructed in Red Boiling Springs in 1968.  The main office moved to Lafayette in 1980 with the construction of a new main office Building.  Even after 83 years in business, Macon Bank & Trust Company still takes pride in serving our customers with respect and dignity.

We are now seven offices strong with three locations in Lafayette, one in Red Boiling Springs, one at Westside, one in Westmoreland and one in Celina. Each one is ready to help you with your financial needs. Each office is listed below with its hours of operation. Please feel free to contact any branch with any questions you may have.

Since 1987, Macon Bank has increased asset size from about $70 million to a present asset size of about $203 million, and capital structure remains strong.
