Help Send Taylor to Jordan!
We received this e-mail from Taylor 01/25/2015: My name is Taylor Thomas. I graduated salutatorian from Westmoreland High School in 2012. I now attend the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and am doing research on the material culture of ancient Israel. This summer, I am intending to travel to Jordan for an archaeological excavation led by my adviser to further this research. However, as you can imagine, such endeavors are quite expensive, and I have created a GoFundMe campaign to attempt to raise funds. I was wondering if you would consider supporting an alumni of Westmoreland High School by sharing my campaign on the Westmoreland website. I'd be incredibly appreciative! Here is the link to my campaign: http://www.gofundme.com/j2t3nc
Mandatory 10-Digit Dialing Coming February 28, 2015!
Middle Tennessee is getting a new area code. Area code 615 is almost at capacity, and it will be joined by area code 629. Please get in the habit now of writing your phone number with the area code. Be sure your area code appears on your business cards, checks, signs, and other items. Please change all seven-digit phone numbers in your contact list in your smartphone to 10-digit numbers. On February 28, 2015, it will become mandatory to dial a 10-digit phone number to make a local call. It is important to note that all cities and towns in Middle Tennessee will have some phone numbers in area code 615 and some phone numbers in area code 629. Theoretically, you could have a phone number of (615) 234-5678, and your neighbor across the street could have (629) 234-5678. Numbers in the new 629 area code will start to be assigned around March 28, 2015. (To clarify, if you already have a phone number in area code 615, you'll keep the same phone number and area code 615.)
